Vintage 1950s El Greco "The Burial of the Count of Orgaz" Swiss Art Print

A mid-century print of El Greco's The Burial of the Count of Orgaz (1586) on 9" x 11.75" thick glossy paper with hints of patina.

Printed in Switzerland in the 1950's.

Domḗnikos Theotokópoulos (1541-1614), most widely known as El Greco, was a Greek painter, sculptor and architect of the Spanish Renaissance. "El Greco" was a nickname, and the artist normally signed his paintings with his full birth name in Greek letters, Δομήνικος Θεοτοκόπουλος, often adding the word Κρής, which means Cretan.
